From Little Acorns, Mighty Oaks Grow
At Boynton Primary School, we recognise that we live in a diverse community that extends beyond our own school and home.
We know that not everyone shares the same beliefs and values as ourselves. But we also know that the world is an exciting, fantastic place, full of amazing people and cultures.
We believe that if we foster a greater understanding of other cultures and world views, we develop tolerance, respect and an open mind. In turn, this dispels myths, fears and encourages our children to embrace the differences of others and all that this interaction can offer.
As part of our 'World View Studies', Classes 1, 2 & 3 enjoyed an assembly from Brian the Humanist, who came to explain his beliefs. Class 3 then went on to interview him and asked some excellent questions to discover even more!
EYFS enjoyed a wonderful Chinese New Year inspired Craft Club. They made lanterns, listened to Chinese music and ate prawn crackers!
We hold a monthly whole school assembly by our local village Rev. Glyn.
